Announcing 2027 Illustrator: Paul Bateman

Paul Bateman is a graphic artist and illustrator based in the UK creating collages for a wide range of UK and International clients through publishing, advertising, design & most recently site specific installation work.

Paul studied at Norwich School of Art, and has a background in traditional scissor & glue collage, developing over the years with each new technology from colour photocopiers to digital & Adobe Photoshop.

His strong iconic graphic collages have appeared in magazines, newspapers, books, brochures, leaflets, posters & advertising billboards for clients including Sony, MasterCard, Cadbury, Mars, TES, Avery, CAFOD, BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, Conde Nast, Stoke City Football Club, The Independent, Telegraph Group and Penguin Books.

Paul’s illustrations have been selected many times for the Association of Illustrators for publication & exhibition. This celebrates illustration excellence & comprises the selected works as chosen each year by an independent industry-insider jury.
